While we keep on praying for safety and protection in the midst of the current pandemic, we are mindful of the continuing threat of COVID-19 and the increasing restrictions imposed by government authorities against movement and gathering. In this regard, the Country Governance Team (CGT) wishes to provide the following updated COVID-19 Guidelines for conducting CFC activities in the current crisis situation:
- Avoid organizing CFC-related assemblies, meetings and events with more than 10 attendees in person. This means we will need to cancel or postpone general assemblies (both chapter and unit levels) and other larger meetings.
- Conduct your regular household prayer meeting with caution and only if there are 10 attendees or less. Observe social distancing in physical meetings. Otherwise, household meetings can be organized virtually using Zoom or Google Hangouts. Since online household prayer meeting is rather new to us, we will need to explore and learn how best to do it and perhaps share good experiences with others later.
- If the household prayer meeting venue is small and does not allow social distancing, physical meeting is not recommended even if the number of attendees is below 10.
- Continue to observe the general guidelines provided by CFC International Council available below and also on our website (cfcthai.net).

COVID-19 Guidance for CFC Thailand Members (11 March 2020)
Dear brothers and sisters,
In the evolving COVID-19 crisis, Pope Francis exhorted the faithful to: "Rise, and be not afraid" (Mt 17:7). He encouraged the faithful to live this difficult moment with the strength of faith. We believe the virus situation as a call to prayer and a call to deeper faith.
In this connection, we wish to emphasize that all CFC Thailand members should observe the guidelines provided by CFC International Council (IC) on conducting CFC activities in the current crisis situation.
In the context of CFC Thailand, we would like to add the following guidelines with immediate effect:

- Avoid organizing big meetings/gatherings, like the monthly General Assembly, with more than 25 members attending. It might be possible to meet at the Unit level within the maximum of 25 attendees.
- Respect local orders given by authorities. In some areas, local authorities have imposed restrictions of big gathering and movement. We must obey.
- Conduct your regular household prayer meetings with caution by observing the CFC IC guidance below. Household leaders should emphasize compliance with the CFC IC guidance. Members may not attend if they feel unsafe. If physical meeting is not feasible, please be innovative in using existing technology to pray together virtually. We need to protect our household meeting time as a time of prayer, either collectively or individually, virtually or physically.
Should you have any queries and doubts regarding this guidance please contact us or any of the members of the fraternal household.

CFC International Council guidelines on corona virus crisis
Please be informed that the CFC International Council has circulated some guidelines on cancellation of scheduled events. In these guidelines, for holding of household prayer meetings, the following precautions are suggested to be observed. These precautions are culled from DOH advisories, WHO guidelines and Church guidelines:
- Do NOT attend any gathering, whether big or small, if you have a cough, a cold, or fever. Wear a face mask if you suffer from these, even at home, so as to protect the people near you.
- Do NOT attend if you have recently traveled (within 14 days prior to the gathering) and have been in contact with a large number of people, such as your co-passengers in the airport or on the plane
- Keep a clean face mask handy in your purse or pocket in case you are uncertain about your environment
- STRICTLY observe the following guidelines when greeting others: (No "beso-beso", No handshakes, Not even fistbumps)
- At Holy Mass: (Keep away from people who are coughing; If you yourself don't feel well, it is advisable not to attend Mass. The Lord will be more pleased if you show concern for others; No holding of hands during the Our Father; Receive Holy Communion in your clean hands. Approach the priest with your left palm on top of your right palm; Observe personal hygiene; Wash hands frequently with soap and water.; If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer or wet wipes but remember that these are not as effective. This is only a temporary measure so wash hands with soap and water as soon as you get a chance to do so; Refrain from touching surfaces such as stair railings, escalator bannisters, tables in restaurants, toilet seats and lavatory surfaces as these are touched by countless number of people and are definitely breeding grounds for bacteria; Wipe off gadgets, even your cell phones and keyboards, since these too are breeding grounds; Do not touch your face with your hands; In your home, periodically wipe off all surfaces with alcohol. Use disinfectant spray to sanitize your home.
